Looked at reviews for a digital camera and still don’t know which camera to buy?

July 9, 2010 - 11:17 pm 2 Comments

I love the zoom camera but don’t really want a big DSLR camera, something a little smaller. Wondering on which is better Sony Cyber shot DSC HX5V or Canon Powershot SX210.

In general,

Canon cameras have excellent image quality and are aimed at taking great quality photos.

Sony cameras are meant to be easy to use for consumers with special feature that only exist in their models.

In general, I like Canon better.

Is there any digital SLR camera on the market that has a timer function to take pictures at pre selected times?

I would like to set up a photo camera on a tripod at a family reunion, b-day parties, campouts, etc., and set a timer to take random candid pictures during the event every 30 seconds or minute. Is there a DSLR on the market that will allow this like the old auto advance on my film type SLR allowed?

DXG camera video of G15 keyboard

July 6, 2010 - 11:20 pm No Comments

Purchased a new DXG USA DXG-A80V HD DXG Pro Gear 1080p High-Definition Camcorder found here on amazon (http://amzn.to/bjT5tE)
Figured it would be a good idea to post to youtube to see how well the quality goes over. A short review from my point of view. The camera does fairly well focusing considering how close i am holding the camera to the keyboard its self. If you notice the quality go down, that is actually me showing the dual recording feature of it where it will record a lower resolution video and a 1080p 30fps at the same time. To string the video all together and reformat it from its .MOV default file I used Roxio Creator 2009. It had signigant lag which i figured was because of the high quality video and my computers lack of much power. On secound thought it might have potentialy worked better with the software that came with the camera but I diden’t want to trouble shoot because it was not designed for windows 7 and had errors all over the place. However I believe alls you would have to do is set it to windows XP and it would work fine.
