    You can use multiple SD cards with it, but this is an old video. It’s not limited to a 2GB card anymore. It’ll take up to a 32GB card, which gives you about 4 hours of 1080p HD video – longer than the battery will last.

    Actually the way to do this is as follows:

    Mic youself to a seperate audio recorder…. then delete the audio on the GoPro video clips….. then overlay the recorded audio from the seperate devise to the video clip………I shudda thunk it.

    Yes it is, but why bother swapping them? Use a 4Gb card and stop recording before the files get too big or just fix them

    Just got a direct phone call from a GoPro rep: they are working on a direct mic link from inside the helmet to the video. As of now the mic will only capture the sounds from outside the helmet. I was advised that I will be able to upgrade my existing devise to the newest software.

    GoPro say on their website that the original 5Mpx SD camera ONLY takes a 2Gb SD card … however, you can record on any sized SDHC card (confirmed on a 16Gb Class10) but if the file goes over 2Gb in size, you get an error when you play it and you’ll have to rewrite the .avi header … open the file in VirtualDub, let VD fix the error it detects then save the file again as .avi using “direct stream” in video and audio processing menu … voila!
