What kind of digital camera is best for Disney?

I figured either for christmas or my birthday I would ask for a digital camera to take to Disney. I want one that takes good quality pictures and video, and I want the video to have sound. My mom’s digital camera sucks with pictures and video and whenever we film video it has no audio because it was dropped. What kind of camera would be best? And does Disney allow cameras on rides, and can I film around the park as well or at restaurants in the park or in stores at the park? Thanks for your help!

What is your price range? If you are looking for something $100, I would recommend the FujiFilm FinePix AX330. I had an older version of this camera and really liked it. I thought I was upgrading when I got a Nikon point and shoot camera, but it takes horrible indoor pics (makes people look like wax figures). I would think this one would be as good as my old one since it’s an upgrade. Takes HD video too. Not sure if Disney "allows" them on rides, but I’ve always taken mine and was never asked to put it away or anything. And yes you can take pics in the park and stores. Hope that helps!

Without going to the expense of a DSLR try a compact travel zoom. Ideally they offer at least 10x zoom, wide angle lens and HD video and be able to fit in your pocket! You should have enough range there to cover your bases and get you snapping.

Also take plenty of memory. You can get it cheap from http://www.mymemory.co.uk/SDHC and anything Class 4 and above will be fine e.g. PNY 16GB Premium Class 4 £19.49

I am going to a concert this summer and have floor seats! (13 rows away from the stage) Yes I checked with the arena and it is okay to bring a camera however I’m looking for a digital camera that has a fast shutter speed and takes pictures in low light settings sense it is a indoor concert. my price range is from $100-350 any suggestions?

A lot of digital cameras take high quality pictures when you have the flash on but doesn’t take good pictures when the flash is off. Is there a digital camera out there that takes good pictures whether or not the flash is on? Thanks.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of digital cameras which take good pictures without flash ….. but you need to know how to use them properly.

It could be said that it isn’t the camera which takes the picture, it’s the person operating the camera.

I want a camera for under $400 that is digital but has the quality of a professional camera. I like pictures that are really clear but i notice most digital cameras all have that digital camera look. Can anyone recommend any specific brands and models.

I have a Canon film camera that is about 10 years old, and i’m wondering if there is any way I can make the film form it digital? Since I want to put some pictures on my computer, without scanning them.. please help!!

Sure….many photo labs can process the film and place the images on a CD-ROM for you. With or without prints as well. If you have negatives, lots of labs can scan those too to digital images.

I am thinking about getting a digital camera or SLR camera. Which one do you think is better?

You seem to be familiar with the difference between the 2 types of cameras, so I’d imagine you also are aware of the kind of shots you will want. Personally, I’d go For the Canon Rebel. If you haven’t already be sure to check the reviews & prices on Amazon before making a choice. The 2011 models are just starting to be released now & you can get some great deals on the older models. The XS isn’t the most current model out now for Canon. The T3i was released very recently it has 18 megapixels & a price to match. Whatever you get be certain that it allows you to expand for the future with additional lenses & accessories.

The digital SLRs or Dslrs, as they are known will provide plenty of future flexibility. The digital units or point & shoot cameras, you mention are what you will live with, since the lens they come with is the only lens they’ll ever have.

Well if you are looking for a megapixel camera and an amazing camera try nikons or sonys they are amazing.

If you are only looking for color, search cameras that come in that color.

Sony DSC T2s are amazing, they don’t come in color though.
Check out the sony cybershots they are amazing!
