Sanyo loaned me a waterproof camera – it is an amazing bit of kit. It takes good video and excellent stills – waterproof down to 1.5 meters. People tell emthat they use them in swimming pools and it certainly survived the kite surfing.

This is an easy and fast tutorial on how to disable iTunes and the digital camera notification (little pop up that asks how to open you iPhone/iPod pictures) from automatically opening when you plug in your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer.

To disable the digital camera notification:
Open up control panel
Go to “Scanners and Cameras”
Right click your device
Click “properties”
Go to the “events” tab
Click “Select No Action”
Apply and click OK

To disable iTunes from automatically opening:
Open up “Preferences” in the “edit” menu
Switch to the “Devices” tab
Uncheck (if checked) “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically”
Go to your device menu and go to the “Summary” tab
Scroll down and make sure “Open iTunes when this iPod [or iPhone] is connected” is NOT checked

simple lens cleaning procedure performed on minolta’s 50/1.7, 17-35/2.8-4 and sigma 105/2.8 macro. if you shoot concerts, lenses become dirty almost every show. here’s how i deal with that. 105mm is the most difficult because of the front element being located deep in the barrel
