In this DIY video, we show you how we built our camera crane. This was all done with a table saw, drill and hack saw.

Even if you go to a mediocre one you can still get a job pretty quick, even faster if you network. I got a job on the film “Castaway” that way. If you are really dedicated and don’t have to have a day job, there is lots of work for a person who is available 24/7 and can travel anywhere.

the problem withe cheap jibs is that they wobble, not designed for heavy weight cameras and also you do not get a smooth pan/tilt with them
